The Australian Government has stepped up its investment in hydrogen energy

The Australian Federal Government Renewable Energy Agency (AREA) said on September 3 that it would invest A$9.4 million in the hydrogen production project planned by Hazer Group, an emerging enterprise in Western Australia. It can be seen that the government attaches great importance to the development of domestic hydrogen industry and that hydrogen energy will be sustainable for Australia's future economy, Society and environment. Exhibition and prosperity are essential. With the goal of becoming a global hydrogen power in 2030, the government formulates and implements a national hydrogen energy strategy to support the development of the hydrogen industry in policy.
The project planned by Hazer Group is to produce hydrogen from biomass produced by sewer treatment plants, with an average annual production of 100 tons of hydrogen expected. Chief Executive Officer Ward of Hazer Group said: "From research and development to industrialization of related technologies, without the assistance of government funds, the implementation of the project is very difficult. For small and medium-sized enterprises, if they rely solely on private fund-raising, the investment cost may double. AREA also provides part of the funds for BOC Group's hydrogen project. BOC has invested 3.1 million Australian dollars in a plant near Brisbane. It is expected to produce 30,000 kilograms of hydrogen annually. The hydrogen produced will be used for demonstration FCV buses of Queensland Government. The Australian government is now turning its attention to the export markets of Japan and Korea to build an international hydrogen energy chain. In terms of the export market of hydrogen energy, there are competitors such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Chile and Norway. Therefore, it is particularly important for the national government to formulate effective policies to promote the vigorous development of the hydrogen energy industry.
