Successful Gas Test Ignition in Well 2 and Well 3 of Zheng'an Shale Gas
Wujiang Energy Group learned that recently, the successful gas test ignition of Shale Gas Well Anshale 2 and Well Anshale 3 in Zheng'an County marked an important breakthrough in the first domestic shale gas exploration project led by provincial energy enterprises, and that the successful development of shale gas in Zheng'an County can benefit tens of millions of Guizhou people. Shale gas is a kind of unconventional natural gas which occurs in organic shale and its interbeds and mainly exists in adsorption and free state. It is understood that China's energy presents the characteristics of "rich coal, poor oil and less gas". Under the circumstances that traditional oil and gas resources can not meet the economic development, it is urgent to develop and utilize shale gas. Shale gas can be used not only for residential gas and urban heating, but also for gas power generation, industrial fuel, chemical raw materials and automobile fuel. At the end of 2018, well Anye 3 and well Anye 2 were drilled, which officially opened the prelude of large-scale exploration, development and utilization of Zheng'an shale gas. At the end of September 2019, two wells successfully tested gas and ignited, showing the good exploration potential of shale gas resources in Zheng'an County, which laid a solid foundation for large-scale exploitation of shale gas in the future, building a demonstration base for natural gas development and utilization in northern Guizhou, and accelerating local economic development. At present, Wujiang Energy Group is speeding up the implementation of other exploration and evaluation wells. During the year, 12 wells continued to promote shale gas exploration and development.
