2. Melting point: 156 ℃ (310 ℉)

Uses of is copper sulfate 

1. Dyeing

This process of dyeing involves adding copper sulfate to solutions of a few grams of acid or base to produce blue or green colors. If the fabric is dyed with these solutions, then it will turn into a special shade of green or blue depending on the acidity level or base strength. 

2. Water Softening 

In order to soften water hardness and improve its taste, copper sulfate is added to water. Copper sulfate is also used in many other applications. These include the following:

a) Denture solutions: it is used as a mild acid to clean dentures, because of its good acidifying properties, and turn hard water into soft water. Copper sulfate helps to improve the quality of the denture would help to maintain a pH level for the proper function of dentures and protect the oral cavity from oral bacteria that promote tooth decay.

b) Drinking water: copper sulfate can be added in drinking water as a treatment for cholera, ulcers and diphtheria. Copper sulfate is used in lieu of sodium ion, which is normally added to drinking water. This process of adding copper sulfate to water has been used for many years. 

c) Anti-fungal medicine: also known as anti-biotic, it is used in the field of medical treatment of bacillus anthracis and tuberculosis because it can be used against a variety of bacteria that are responsible for diseases such as diphtheria and anthrax.
