Eurozone October manufacturing remains mired in contraction

The eurozone's industrial sector showed few signs of a rebound in October, with output remaining in contraction and few signs of increased momentum from September, according to data from IHS Markit on Monday. Eurozone manufacturing purchasing managers’ index (PMI) levels ticked up to 45.9 during the month compared to 45.7 in September, remaining at a seven-year low and driving job losses up to the highest level since 2013.


US October ethylene contracts settle up 0.75 cent/lb

US October ethylene contracts settled for the majority of the market on Monday at an increase of 0.75 cent/lb ($17/tonne), mostly driven by higher spot prices. The settlement puts October ethylene contracts at 29.75 cents/lb ($656/tonne), as average spot prices rose and cracker cash costs were mostly flat. At least one participant did not settle October contracts at that price.


US November benzene contracts decrease amid lengthy supply, low demand

US November benzene contracts settled lower, as bearish supply and demand fundamentals pushed spot prices lower in October. Contracts decreased 37 cents/gal ($111/tonne) from October to $2.23/gal FOB (free on board) in the US Gulf.


Saudi Aramco announces intention to proceed with domestic IPO

Saudi Aramco on Sunday announced its intention to proceed with its initial public offering (IPO) on the domestic bourse. Saudi Arabia’s Capital Market Authority approved the oil and gas giant’s application for the domestic listing on 3 November, state-owned Saudi Aramco said in a filing on the Saudi bourse, Tadawul.

ADNOC, Adani, BASF and Borealis sign MoU to further evaluate collaboration
