manufacturer information may no longer appear on cosmetics in South Korea

At present, the manufacturing trademark on cosmetics packaging in South Korea is a necessary requirement, which may be changed into a selective requirement in the future. Mr. Kim sanghui, member of the common Democratic Party, recently proposed some amendments to the cosmetics law. According to the current law, the information of responsible sellers and manufacturers of cosmetics must be indicated on the packaging of cosmetics. Before, the cosmetics industry was mainly monopolized by entrusted manufacturers or entrusted by overseas manufacturers to manufacture similar products, which may impact domestic export enterprises. The amendment to Article 10 (2) of the cosmetics law includes the change of "the business name and address of the operator" to "the business name and address of the responsible seller of cosmetics and the customized cosmetics seller". It includes the provision that the responsible sales manager of cosmetics does not receive compulsory education, the cosmetics manufacturer or the responsible seller of cosmetics violates the education order and is fined. "The responsibility for the quality and safety of circulating products lies with the responsible sellers of cosmetics. In order to coordinate with foreign regulations, it is not necessary to mark the information of cosmetics manufacturers. Therefore, only the trade name and address of the responsible sellers of cosmetics are recorded on the packaging of cosmetics."
