Calcium carbide slag is the waste residue of calcium carbide hydrolysis reaction in the production of acetylene by calcium carbide method. Long term stacking not only occupies land, but also pollutes the environment. At present, the more mature domestic treatment process is to use calcium carbide slag to make cement, but calcium carbide slag is a strong alkali with low reactivity. Most domestic enterprises use calcium carbide slag to replace limestone. Recently, it was learned that Anhui HuaSu cement plant, through half a year's trial, carried out a large number of basic experiments, and implemented a number of technical transformation measures, and finally successfully achieved 100% calcium carbide slag cement. From June 2013 to now, under the condition of ensuring the quality of clinker and the stability of kiln working condition, the proportion of limestone is gradually reduced from 20% to 15%, 10%, 5% and finally to 0. Until January 14, 2014, with a notice of 0% limestone ratio issued by the quality control department of the cement plant to the central control operator, HuaSu cement plant took a step of 100% using calcium carbide slag to replace calcium raw materials to produce clinker. Although the kiln's working conditions fluctuated during the period and it was difficult to calcine, the cement plant actively organized and held a special analysis meeting to find out the reasons and arrange special personnel 2 4 hours follow-up kiln system working condition. When all problems are broken one by one, kiln working condition is stable and clinker quality is completely superior to national standard. At present, daily clinker output of kiln system is stable above 2400t. Carbide slag 100% substitutes limestone to produce clinker, which makes a good start for HuaSu cement plant in 2014.
