Xinjiang completes the elimination of backward production capacity

According to the requirements of relevant documents of the central environmental protection supervision and the leading group office of the central environmental protection supervision feedback rectification work of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, from December 10 to 16, 2019, the Department of industry and information technology of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region publicized the rectification of the feedback problems of environmental protection supervision to the society. During the publicity period, no different opinions were received, and the rectification and cancellation were realized. This marks that Xinjiang has completed the elimination task of five backward small coking enterprises according to law. On January 2, 2018, when the central environmental protection supervision group gave feedback to the Party committee, government and Xinjiang corps of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, it pointed out that in terms of eliminating backward production capacity, the implementation of relevant national requirements was incomplete and the work was delayed. As of August 2017, when the inspection team moved in, there were still five small coking enterprises whose backward production capacity had been eliminated by the state for a long time. According to the feedback from the central environmental protection supervision, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Department of industry and information technology has formulated the rectification measures and objectives, and resolutely eliminated the backward production capacity of small coking enterprises in accordance with the law.

In this regard, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Department of industry and information technology put forward the rectification measures, requiring to urge Urumqi, Turpan and Changji Prefecture Bureau of industry and information technology to formulate the rectification plan, clear the responsible leadership, responsible unit and completion time limit; carry out the supervision of small coking backward production enterprises, and promote relevant counties and cities to establish and improve the coking backward production account. Through rectification, as of August 14, 2018, the field inspection of experience collection team, 5 small coking enterprises have completed the demolition of backward production capacity equipment. Xinjiang Jixin Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. completed the demolition of 16 carbonization furnaces in early August 2018. Xinjiang Zhongtian Xinneng Trade Co., Ltd., led by Urumqi Economic and Development Commission in 2015, together with Urumqi Environmental Protection Bureau and other functional departments, carried out water cut, power cut and shutdown treatment, removed transformers, and completed the demolition of six carbonization furnaces in early July 2018; tuokesun Hualong coal processing plant Co., Ltd. started to stop production in October 2012, and has demolished one by itself Carbonization furnace equipment; Xinjiang Shengxiong carbide Co., Ltd. has completed the demolition of 16 carbonization furnaces in early February 2018; Xinjiang Heishan Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. has completed the demolition of 2 carbonization furnaces in October 2017.
