China coal group becomes the second coal enterprise with an annual output
On January 19, according to the statistics and information department express of China Coal Industry Association, in 2019, there were seven coal enterprises with raw coal output of more than 100 million tons, namely, national energy group, China Coal Group, Tongmei group, Shaanxi coal group, Yankuang Group, Shandong energy group and Shanxi Coking Coal group, the same as the previous year. The total output of these seven coal groups is about 1.46 billion tons, with a year-on-year increase of 3.55%, accounting for about 38% of the national raw coal output. According to the data of the National Bureau of statistics, in 2019, the output of raw coal above designated size was 3.75 billion tons, an increase of 4.2% year on year; the import of coal was 300 million tons, an increase of 6.3% year on year. Judging from the change of output, there are ups and downs in the seven major groups. Among them, the output of China coal group exceeded 200 million tons for the first time in 2019, becoming the second coal enterprise in China with an annual output of more than 200 million tons. The output of China's largest coal enterprise, national energy group, is about 510 million tons, which has declined for the first time in recent years. Tongmei group has the largest increase, reaching over 35 million tons; Shandong energy group has the largest year-on-year decline, exceeding 15%; Shaanxi coal group, Yankuang Group and Shanxi Coking Coal Group have a small increase in output.
In addition, according to the preliminary statistics of China Coal Association, in 2019, the raw coal output of Yangmei group, Lu'an Group, state power investment group and Henan energy group exceeded 80 million tons; there were 18 coal enterprises exceeding 50 million tons, one less than that in 2018, and the overall capacity scale was little changed compared with the previous year. China Coal Group is a key state-owned backbone enterprise under the management of the state owned assets supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, formerly known as China coal import and Export Corporation established in July 1982. In December 2006, China Coal Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China coal energy), which was exclusively initiated and established by China Coal Group, was listed in Hong Kong and returned to A-share in February 2008. By the end of 2018, China coal group had a total assets of 386.8 billion yuan, coal reserves of 60 billion tons, total production capacity of 300 million tons / year, and 120000 employees. Peng Yi, general manager of China Coal Group, once said publicly that in recent years, China Coal Group has taken the initiative to withdraw ten coal mines and reduce the capacity of five coal mines, accounting for half of the total capacity removed by the central enterprises. In recent three years, it has digested more than 15 billion yuan of inefficient assets. At the same time, the scale of electric power has grown rapidly, with a holding installed capacity of 10 million kilowatts. According to the performance forecast of China coal energy (601898. SH), it is estimated that in 2019, it will achieve a net profit of 5.5-5.9 billion yuan attributable to shareholders of listed companies, with a year-on-year growth of 60.1% - 71.8%. In response to the reasons for performance growth, China Coal Energy said that in 2019, the company continued to deepen the supply side structural reform, further released advanced production capacity, further optimized the industrial layout structure and product variety structure, and further improved its profitability. China coal energy is also trying to explore the path of "coal power joint venture". In December 2019, China Coal Energy purchased the shares of five thermal power plants held by SDIC power at the price of RMB 1.809 billion.
