2nd Anniversary of BASF China Digital Center
Recently, the BASF China Digital Center in Nanjing, Jiangsu celebrated its second anniversary and announced that it will accelerate the incubation of China's digital talents, while further enhancing its digital capabilities, and will consolidate its technical strength through a series of measures. Specific initiatives include establishing enterprise management solutions (SAP) and planning solutions, and further incorporating technologies such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and big data, Internet of Things, cloud computing, and e-commerce solutions into BASF China's digital landscape.
Since the establishment of the center in 2020, BASF has continuously enhanced its digital capabilities in China to facilitate the digital transformation of its business, providing services for the BASF integrated base in Nanjing and the BASF integrated base in Zhanjiang, which is currently under construction. Currently, the center has around 80 digital experts who support BASF's local customers and business development. In order to meet the growing market demand for customized digital solutions, BASF plans to expand its team to more than 100 people in the next two years.
Dr. Lou Jianfeng, Chairman and President of BASF Greater China, said: "The digital center has become an important fulcrum for us to further implement our digital strategy in China, and it also demonstrates our continued commitment to investing in the Chinese market. We hope to continue to strengthen our digital expertise. We will further develop our digital capabilities and provide better services to our customers.”
