Loose Supply, Weak and Declining Aniline Market (Dec. 8–Dec. 12)
December 12th, according to reports
I. Price Trends
According to the commodity market analysis system, the aniline market in China showed a weak decline this week. The price of aniline was 7,812 CNY/ton on December 8th, and 7,675 CNY/ton on December 12th, with a price decrease of 1.76% during the period, and a 19.12% decrease compared to the same period last year.
II. Analysis and Commentary
This week, the aniline market in China showed a significant decline. During the week, companies faced difficulties in moving their inventory, and with ample supply, aniline prices quickly dropped by 200 CNY/ton, with the mainstream price falling to 7,700 CNY/ton. The market transaction volume was moderate, and prices continued to decrease by 100 CNY/ton. As prices reached a low point, trading volumes increased, and the aniline market slightly adjusted upward by 50 CNY/ton. Sales pressure was released, and prices stabilized and rebounded.
Cost aspect: This week, the pure benzene market in China experienced low-level fluctuations. There has been continuous inventory accumulation at the ports, and downstream operations have seen a slight increase, but this has had limited impact on styrene. Without significant fluctuations in oil prices, it is expected that the pure benzene market in China will maintain a stable operation in the short term.
III. Future Market Outlook
The current aniline market in China is stable with low inventory pressure. It is expected that the aniline market will consolidate in the short term, and close attention should be paid to changes in raw materials and supply and demand.
