Cost Pressure Continues, PC Market Rises Upstream
Price trend
According to the data of the big list, the PC market has risen sharply this week, and the spot prices of various brands have been adjusted. As of September 8, the reference offer of PC sample companies in the business community was around 17,633.33 CNY/ton, a change of +2.22% compared with the average price at the beginning of the month.
Cause Analysis
Industrial chain: Upstream, the overall operating rate of domestic bisphenol A remains stable, and factories mainly supply contract users. Phenol/acetone products continued to rise, which was good support for the downstream bisphenol A market, but after the previous round of upward movement, the increase of bisphenol A was limited, and the market remained strong. From the downstream point of view, the overall demand is not very enthusiastic, the high-level negotiation and transactions are insufficient, and the short-term bisphenol A offer remains strong.
The bisphenol A market remained firm this week, and the pressure on the PC cost side continued. In terms of industry load, the operating rate of domestic PC companies increased within a narrow range this week, and remained generally stable below 70%. At present, the supply of goods on the market remains abundant, and the pressure on the supply side continues. However, some companies have parking plans over the weekend, and supply is expected to tighten. The downstream demand is still in a weak pattern. The terminal enterprises affected by the previous power cut and high temperature are gradually lifted, but the actual demand has not improved significantly. After the superimposed PC rises, the acceptance rate has declined, and the stocking operation is biased towards maintaining production and buying on dips. PC companies are forced to increase their ex-factory prices due to cost pressures. The merchants follow the market, and the actual transactions are mostly scattered and small orders.
market outlook
The analyst of the business agency believes that the domestic PC market is rising this week, the upstream bisphenol A market is high and strong, and the cost side continues to put pressure on PC. On the supply side, there is ample supply on the market, and the demand side is weak. Buyers are generally more accepting of the price after the increase, and they have a heavier wait-and-see attitude. In the absence of a significant increase in consumption, it is expected that in the short term, the spot price of PC may be blocked and stalemate will be run.
