Analysis of the Dyes Market in Q1-Q3, 2017
Introduction: The dyes market has been quiet in Q4. Mainstream dealing prices started to become stable. How was the market in the first three quarters?

The dyes market trend from January to September can be divided into four stages:
Phase 1: January to February. This phase was the end of the dyes market and downstream industry. Dyes producers and traders cut down prices to promote sales, so they can withdraw the funds. As the China’s traditional Spring Festival was in this period, the demand was thin. Prices for varieties of dyes were at lows.
Phase 2: March to H1 April. During this period, dyes market and its downstream industry entered the traditional peak season. Increasing orders boosted the prices. Moreover, mainstream producers raised prices. The overall dyes market showed an uptrend.
Phase 3: Mid-April to H2 July. The China Interdye 2017 was the hottest event in mid-April. During this exhibition, the negotiation sentiments were weak. Players’ bearish mentality also declined. The weak demand also weighed on the dyes market. During this period, the dyes market slid.
Phase 4: End-July to September. The environmental protection supervision influenced the major production base of dyes. Given the limited supply, dyes producers raised prices. But, the demand for dyes was weak in August and September. Hence, the dyes market increased slowly in this period.
Entering the October, the Chinese dyes market was stable. Though the demand for dyes in the dyeing and printing industry industry is increasing, the purchasing activities are on a need-to basis considering the production cost. It is predicted that the dyes market in Q4 will be largely stable.
