Irish Nutritional Ingredients company launches more sustainable emulsifiers
Irish nutritional ingredients company Kerry has announced the launch of an emulsifier made from acacia that replaces sunflower lecithin, glycerol monosulfide and diethylene glycol used in food and beverage production to enhance texture and consistency and extend shelf life.
The emulsifier has better emulsification and stability and can be used in a wide variety of foods and beverages, such as baked goods, plant-based beverages and frozen foods. In addition, the emulsifier is formulated from sustainably sourced acacia plant ingredients and is free of major allergens. It is now kosher and halal certified and is sustainable and pure.
