Vascular dementia (VD) is a type of clinical mental disorder caused by vascular disease, and is also a type of clinical outcome of cerebrovascular disease. Cerebrovascular dementia or vascular dementia (VD) refers to a comprehensive decline in intelligence caused by cerebral blood supply disorders due to cerebrovascular disease. That is, a brain function degeneration disease caused by cerebrovascular disease with dementia as the main clinical manifestation. It often starts at the age of 50 to 60, and about half of them are complicated by primary hypertension, with a step-by-step deterioration of intelligence. Cerebrovascular dementia is more common in patients with repeated "mini-strokes", and the condition gradually worsens with each "mini-stroke". Intellectual decline is not progressive, but develops in a step-by-step manner. After the recovery of the "mini-stroke", the intelligence has recovered to a certain extent and the condition is stable; however, after another "mini-stroke", the attack worsens again, developing intermittently, and finally dementia occurs.
