Chemical burns
The extent of chemical burns is closely related to the nature, dosage, concentration, physical state (solid, liquid, gas), contact time and contact area of the chemical, as well as the emergency measures taken at the time. The local damage caused by chemical substances is mainly cell dehydration and protein denaturation, and some produce heat and aggravate the burn. Some chemical substances can cause poisoning after being absorbed.
