Osteochondrosis of the calcaneal epiphysis
This disease is also called Sever disease or Haglund disease. It was first described by Haglund in 1907, and Sever proposed that this disease is ischemic necrosis of the calcaneal epiphysis in 1912. This disease is more common in sports-loving teenagers aged 8 to 14, more common in girls than in boys, and is mostly unilateral, but can also be bilateral.
