Verrucous carcinoma
Verrucous carcinoma was first reported by Ackeman in 1948. It is a highly keratinized squamous cell carcinoma. The diagnosis of this disease depends on the clinical and microscopic morphology and biological behavior of the tumor. The tumor grows slowly, initially presenting as an exophytic wart and fungoid tumor, and eventually invades deep tissues.
