Bowen's disease
Bowens disease is a rare early-stage squamous cell carcinoma in situ of the skin. Bowen reported two cases in 1912, and Darier reported three cases in 1914 under the name "Bowen's precancerous skin disease". Hence, it was named "Bowens disease". Bowen's disease mostly occurs in people over 45 years old, more often in men than in women. The main clinical manifestations are chronic, asymptomatic, scaly plaques. Some patients have malignant tumors other than the skin. Surgical resection is a reliable treatment method, and follow-up is required after recovery to prevent recurrence and complications of other malignant tumors.
