Appearance
This product is a white or off-white ointment with an emulsion base.
Usage and Dosage
Apply to the affected area. For both children and adults, apply once every 4 hours, 5 times a day. Do not use at night. Apply for 5 consecutive days. If the condition is not cured after 5 days, the course of treatment can be extended for an additional 5 days.
Adverse Reactions
After using this product, some patients may experience a short-term burning or tingling sensation. About 13% of patients experience mild dryness and scaly changes in the skin. A few patients have reported erythema and itching.
Precautions
This product is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to acyclovir or propylene glycol.
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: Not yet clear. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Pregnant women and lactating women are prohibited or should use with caution. Precautions for the elderly: Not yet clear.
