Function and Efficacy
This product is a thioxanthene antipsychotic drug, which can improve mental disorders by blocking postsynaptic dopamine receptors in the brain, inhibit the ascending activation system of the brainstem reticular formation, cause sedation, and inhibit the medulla chemoreceptor area to exert an antiemetic effect. This product has weak anti-adrenergic and anticholinergic effects, and has antidepressant and antianxiety effects.

Appearance
This product is a sugar-coated tablet, which appears off-white or slightly yellow after removing the sugar coating.
Indication
Used for acute and chronic schizophrenia, and for mental disorders accompanied by psychomotor agitation, anxiety, and depression symptoms.
Usage and Dosage
Oral administration starts with a small dose, the first dose is 25-50 mg, 2-3 times a day, and then gradually increases to 400-600 mg a day. The maintenance dose is 100-200 mg a day. The starting dose for children over 6 years old is 25 mg once, 3 times a day, and gradually increases to 150-300 mg a day, and the maintenance dose is 50-150 mg a day.
Adverse Reactions
1. Anticholinergic symptoms such as dizziness, drowsiness, weakness, postural hypotension, palpitations, dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, and dysuria. 2. Extrapyramidal reactions may occur when the dose is too high, such as tremor, rigidity, drooling, bradykinesia, akathisia, and acute dystonia. Long-term and large-scale use may cause tardive dyskinesia. 3. It may cause an increase in plasma prolactin concentration, and the possible related symptoms are: galactorrhea, gynecomastia, menstrual disorders, and amenorrhea. 4. It may cause liver damage and granulocytopenia. It may occasionally cause epilepsy. Allergic rashes and malignant syndromes are occasionally seen.
Precautions
Basal ganglia lesions, Parkinson's disease, Parkinson's syndrome, bone marrow suppression, glaucoma, urinary retention, coma and allergic to this product.
Drug Interactions
1. This product can enhance the efficacy of central nervous system depressants such as inhaled general anesthetics or intravenous general anesthetics such as barbiturates. When used together, the dosage of central nervous system depressants should be reduced to 1/4~1/2 of the usual dosage. 2. This product can reduce the effect of amphetamine when used in combination. 3. When used in combination with gastric acid suppressants or laxatives, the absorption of this product can be reduced. 4. This product can lower the seizure threshold and weaken the effect of anticonvulsants. It is not suitable for patients with epilepsy. 5. When this product is used in combination with anticholinergic drugs, the efficacy can be mutually enhanced. 6. When this product is used in combination with adrenaline, blood pressure may drop due to the blockage of alpha receptor activity and the dominance of beta receptor activity.
