Ozagrel Sodium for Injection
Function and Efficacy
This product is a plant extract and a cell division inhibitor in the metaphase of cell division. In vitro and in vivo tests have shown that this product has anti-tumor activity, can inhibit microtubule polymerization, inhibit nuclear mitosis, and stop it in the metaphase. This product is not easily absorbed orally and has serious toxic and side effects, so its systemic application is limited. In vitro efficacy tests for topical treatment of condyloma acuminatum have shown that this product can inhibit the incorporation of deoxynucleoside and DNA synthesis in cultured normal human skin keratinocytes and cervical cancer epithelial cells, hindering their division and proliferation. After external application of this product, it can inhibit the division and proliferation of epithelial cells with warty proliferation caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, causing necrosis and shedding, thereby playing a role in treating condyloma acuminatum.
