Roxithromycin Granules
Function and Efficacy
A new generation of macrolide antibiotics, it mainly acts on Gram-positive bacteria, anaerobic bacteria, Chlamydia and Mycoplasma, etc. Its in vitro antibacterial effect is similar to that of erythromycin, and its in vivo antibacterial effect is 1 to 4 times stronger than that of erythromycin.

Appearance
This product is white or off-white granules with aromatic odor and sweet and bitter taste.
Indication
1. Applicable to the following infections caused by sensitive strains: ①Upper respiratory tract infection; ②Lower respiratory tract infection; ③Ear, nose and throat infection; ④Gentleman infection (except gonococcal infection); ⑤Skin and soft tissue infection. 2. Can also be used for mycoplasma pneumonia, Chlamydia trachomatis infection and Legionnaires' disease, etc.
Usage and Dosage
Oral administration: 1. Adults: 150 mg once, twice a day. 2. Children: 100 mg once, twice a day for children weighing 24-40 kg; 50 mg once, twice a day for children weighing 12-23 kg. 3. Infants: 2.5-5 mg/kg once, twice a day, based on body weight, or as directed by a physician.
Adverse Reactions
The main adverse reactions are gastrointestinal reactions such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting, but the incidence is significantly lower than that of erythromycin. Occasionally, there are rash, itchy skin, dizziness, headache, abnormal liver function (increased ALT and AST), decreased peripheral blood cells, etc.
Precautions
Patients who are allergic to this product, erythromycin or other macrolide drugs are contraindicated.
