Compound Bifendate Tablets

Function and Efficacy

Bifendate is an intermediate in the synthesis of Schisandra chinensis propyl. Oral administration of 150-200 mg/kg of this product to mice can reduce liver damage and elevated alanine aminotransferase (ALT) caused by carbon tetrachloride. It has an inhibitory effect on liver microsomal lipid peroxidation caused by carbon tetrachloride and the metabolic conversion of carbon tetrachloride into carbon monoxide, and reduces the consumption of reduced coenzyme II and oxygen in the metabolism of carbon tetrachloride, thereby protecting the structure and function of stem cell biofilms. This product can also reduce the elevation of liver ALT induced by prednisone. It can promote liver regeneration in mice with partial hepatectomy. The enzyme-lowering effect of this product does not directly inhibit serum and liver ALT activity, nor does it accelerate the inactivation of ALT in the blood, which may be a reflection of the reduction of liver tissue damage. This product has a significant induction effect on cytochrome P450 enzyme activity, thereby enhancing the detoxification ability of carbon tetrachloride and certain carcinogens. It has an effect on improving protein metabolism in some hepatitis patients, resulting in increased albumin and decreased globulin. It has no negative effect on HbsAg and HbeAg, and cannot cause significant liver and spleen shrinkage. Inosine can directly penetrate the cell membrane into human cells, activate pyruvate oxidase, and enable cells under low energy and hypoxia to continue metabolism, improve liver function, and participate in energy metabolism and protein synthesis in the body. The combination of the two drugs enhances the efficacy and reduces the rebound phenomenon of enzyme reduction.
