Function and Efficacy

This product is a broad-spectrum antiviral drug. It has the effect of inhibiting the growth of respiratory syncytial virus, influenza virus, hepatitis A virus, adenovirus and other viruses in vitro. Its mechanism of action is mainly through the inhibition of inosine nucleoside dehydrogenase, blocking the conversion of inosine nucleoside-phosphate to xanthine nucleoside-phosphate, inhibiting nucleic acid synthesis and preventing virus replication.

Appearance

This product is a colorless clear liquid.

Indication

Antiviral drug, mainly used for viral pneumonia and bronchitis caused by respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Prevention and treatment of epidemic hemorrhagic fever and Lassa fever. The use of this product in the early stage of fever can shorten the fever period, reduce kidney and blood vessel damage and poisoning symptoms.

Usage and Dosage

Intravenous drip, 0.5-1g per day for adults, divided into 2 doses (twice a day, 1.25-2.5 bottles each time), 1 course of treatment 3-7 days. For the treatment of severe cases such as Lassa fever and epidemic hemorrhagic fever, the first dose for adults is 2g, followed by 0.5-1g every 8 hours for a total of 10 days.

Adverse Reactions

Some patients may experience gastrointestinal reactions such as nausea, vomiting, and loss of appetite; long-term or large-scale use of this product may have adverse effects on liver function and blood counts.

Precautions

It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to this product.

Drug Interactions

This product has an antagonistic effect when used together with zidovudine, because this product can inhibit the conversion of zidovudine into active zidovudine phosphate.
