Calcium carbonate tablets

Function and Efficacy

1. Drinking a lot of alcoholic and caffeinated beverages and smoking a lot will inhibit the absorption of oral calcium. 2. Eating a lot of fiber-rich foods can inhibit calcium absorption because calcium combines with cellulose to form compounds that are not easily absorbed. 3. When this product is used together with phenytoin sodium and tetracycline, the absorption of both is reduced. 4. Vitamin D, contraceptives, and estrogen can increase calcium absorption. 5. When aluminum-containing antacids are taken with this product, aluminum absorption increases. 6. When used with calcium channel blockers (such as nifedipine), blood calcium can be significantly increased to above normal, but the effect of verapamil hydrochloride is reduced. 7. When this product is used in combination with thiazide diuretics, hypercalcemia is prone to occur (due to increased renal tubular calcium reabsorption). 8. When this product is used in combination with potassium-containing drugs, attention should be paid to arrhythmias. 9. When used in combination or cross-application with laxative antacids such as magnesium oxide, it can reduce side effects such as belching and constipation.
