Omeprazole sodium

Function and Efficacy

This product is a proton pump inhibitor of gastric parietal cells. It can specifically inhibit the secretory microtubules composed of the apical membrane of parietal cells and the H, K-ATPase on the tubular vesicles in the cytoplasm, thereby effectively inhibiting the secretion of gastric acid. Since H, K-ATPase is the last process of acid secretion by parietal cells, this product has a strong acid-suppressing ability. It can not only non-competitively inhibit the gastric acid secretion caused by gastrin, histamine, choline and food stimulation of the vagus nerve, but also inhibit part of the basal gastric acid secretion that is not affected by choline or H2 receptor blockers. It also has a strong and lasting inhibitory effect on the gastric acid secretion caused by dibutyl cyclic adenosine monophosphate (DCAMP) stimulation that cannot be inhibited by the plant antagonist of H2 receptor oxyacetylcholine. This product also has an inhibitory effect on the secretion of pepsin and has an effect on changes in gastric mucosal blood flow.

Indication

Mainly used for: 1. Peptic ulcer bleeding, anastomotic ulcer bleeding. 2. Acute gastric mucosal damage during stress and acute gastric mucosal damage caused by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. 3. Also commonly used to prevent severe diseases (such as cerebral hemorrhage, severe trauma, etc.), prevent rebleeding after gastric surgery, etc. 4. Prevent gastric acid reflux combined with aspiration pneumonia after general anesthesia or major surgery and in weak and comatose patients.

Usage and Dosage

Intravenous drip. 40 mg at a time, 1 to 2 times a day. Before use, inject 10 ml of special solvent into the vial of freeze-dried powder, add the dissolved liquid to 100 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride injection or 100 ml of 5% glucose injection for dilution and then intravenous drip. The intravenous drip time must not be less than 20 minutes. This product must be used up within 4 hours after dissolution and dilution. It is forbidden to dissolve and dilute with other solvents or other drugs.

Precautions

It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to this product.

Drug Interactions

(1) This product can prolong the efficacy of diazepam, phenytoin sodium and other drugs metabolized by the liver. If this product is used in combination with phenytoin sodium, the condition should be carefully monitored and the dose of phenytoin sodium should be reduced as appropriate. (2) It may interact with drugs metabolized by the cytochrome P450 enzyme system (such as warfarin).
