Amoxicillin and sulbactam pivoxil tablets
Function and Efficacy
This product is a compound preparation of amoxicillin and sulbactam pivoxil. Amoxicillin is a bactericidal broad-spectrum antibiotic; sulbactam pivoxil is an orally administered, weakly inhibitory, irreversibly competitive broad-spectrum β-lactamase inhibitor. It protects amoxicillin from being destroyed by the enzyme by effectively inhibiting the β-lactamase produced by bacteria. Therefore, the combination of the two drugs produces a good synergistic effect. It can be used for infections caused by resistant bacteria. This product is effective against a variety of Gram-positive bacteria and Gram-blocking bacteria. , including Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis (penicillin and some methicillin-resistant strains), Pneumococcus, Streptococcus faecalis and other Streptococcus-positive bacteria, and negative bacteria include Escherichia coli, Haemophilus influenzae, Branhamella catarrhalis, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Proteus mirabilis, etc. It is also effective against anaerobic bacteria including Bacillus fragilis. Toxicological effects: Non-clinical toxicological studies, including long-term toxicity and acute toxicity tests, this product was tested on rats, mice and rabbits, and no toxic reactions were found.

Indication
This product is suitable for the following mild and moderate infectious diseases caused by β-lactamase-producing pathogens that are resistant to amoxicillin but sensitive to this product, including: upper respiratory tract infections: such as ear, nose, and throat infections, namely otitis media, sinusitis, tonsillitis, and pharyngitis; lower respiratory tract infections: such as pneumonia, acute bronchitis, and acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, and bronchiectasis; genitourinary system infections: such as cystitis and urethritis, pyelonephritis, gynecological infections, and postpartum infections; skin and soft tissue infections: such as cellulitis, wound infections, furunculosis, purulent dermatitis, and impetigo; sexually transmitted diseases; gonorrhea, etc.; oral infections: such as oral abscesses, surgical medications, etc.; 6. Other infections: such as bacterial endocarditis, peritonitis, osteomyelitis, typhoid and paratyphoid fever, and prevention of endocarditis, etc.
Usage and Dosage
Oral administration: 2 to 4 tablets each time for adults and children over 12 years old, once every 8 hours; 2 tablets each time for children aged 6 to 12 years old, once every 8 hours. 1 tablet each time for children aged 2 to 6 years old, once every 8 hours; 1/2 tablet each time for children aged 9 months to 2 years old, once every 8 hours; patients with moderate renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance 10 to 30 ml/min) take 2 to 4 tablets every 12 hours; patients with severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance; 10 ml/min) take less than 2 tablets every 12 hours.
Adverse Reactions
Gastrointestinal reactions: such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, etc.; skin reactions: erythematous maculopapular lesions, urticaria, etc.; allergic reactions: such as rash, etc. The above gastrointestinal reactions and skin reactions are more common in hypersensitive patients, and are generally mild and short-lived, and will disappear automatically or after stopping the drug.
Precautions
It is contraindicated for patients who are allergic to penicillins or cephalosporins.
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: Due to renal insufficiency in newborns and infants, the clearance of amoxicillin will be delayed. The dosage should be adjusted for children under three months old. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: This product is not recommended for pregnant and lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: Please follow the doctor's advice.
Drug Interactions
Probenecid reduces the renal tubular secretion of amoxicillin, and the simultaneous use of amoxicillin and probenecid can increase the blood concentration of amoxicillin. Chloramphenicol, macrolide antibiotics, sulfonamide antibiotics, and tetracycline may affect the bactericidal effect of penicillin, which can be confirmed by in vitro experiments, but its clinical significance has not been established.
Storage
Keep in a dark place, sealed, and stored in a cool and dry place (not exceeding 20℃).
