Function and Efficacy

Loxoprofen sodium is a prodrug, which is converted into active metabolites in the body after being absorbed by the digestive tract. Its active metabolites exert analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins. Toxicological studies Reproductive toxicity: When rats were given loxoprofen sodium at a dose of 8 mg/kg, the number of corpora lutea and implantation decreased, the stillbirth rate increased, the fetal mortality rate increased, the body weight decreased and the development was slightly delayed. Loxoprofen sodium can delay delivery in rats and can be secreted through their milk.

Indication

Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, low back pain, frozen shoulder, cervical shoulder-wrist syndrome, as well as analgesia and anti-inflammation after surgery, trauma and tooth extraction, and antipyretic and analgesic for acute upper respiratory tract inflammation.

Usage and Dosage

Oral administration after meals. Chronic inflammatory pain: Adults take 60 mg (1 tablet) each time, three times a day; Acute inflammatory pain: Take 60-120 mg (1-2 tablets) at a time. The dosage can be increased or decreased according to age and symptoms, and the maximum daily dosage should not exceed 180 mg (3 tablets).

Precautions

The following patients are contraindicated to use this product: 1. Patients with peptic ulcer; 2. Patients with severe liver and kidney damage; 3. Patients with severe heart failure; 4. Patients with severe hematological abnormalities; 5. Patients who are allergic to this product; 6. Patients with asthma caused by taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics in the past; 7. Women in late pregnancy and lactation.

Drug Interactions

1. When this product is used simultaneously with coumarin anticoagulants and sulfonylurea hypoglycemic drugs, the effects of these drugs will be increased, and these drugs should be used in reduced doses. 2. When used in combination with new quinolone antibacterial drugs (enoxacin, etc.), it may sometimes cause cramps. 3. When used in combination with sulfonone hypoglycemic drugs, it can enhance the hypoglycemic effect of these drugs, so it is necessary to reduce the dose. 4. When used in combination with thiazide diuretics, it can weaken the diuretic hypotensive effect of these drugs. 5. When used in combination with lithium preparations, it may increase the lithium concentration in the blood and cause lithium poisoning, so the dose should be reduced when used in combination.
