Function and Efficacy
Doxofylline is a derivative of methylxanthine. It is a bronchodilator that can directly act on the bronchi and relax bronchial smooth muscles. It relaxes smooth muscles by inhibiting phosphodiesterase in smooth muscle cells, thereby suppressing asthma.
Ingredients
The main ingredient of this product is doxofylline. Its chemical name is 1,3-dimethyl-7-(1,3-dioxolan-2-yl)methyl-3,7-dihydro-1H-purine-2,6-dione. Molecular formula: C11H14N4O4. Molecular weight: 266.26.

Indication
Dyspnea caused by bronchial asthma, wheezing chronic bronchitis and other bronchospasms.
Usage and Dosage
Adults take 200 mg each time, once every 12 hours, diluted with 25% glucose injection to 40 ml, slowly injected intravenously, the time should be more than 20 minutes, 5 to 10 days as a course of treatment or follow the doctor's advice. You can also add 300 mg of this product to 100 ml of 5% glucose injection or normal saline injection, slowly drip intravenously, once a day.
Adverse Reactions
The use of xanthine derivatives may cause nausea, vomiting, upper abdominal pain, headache, insomnia, irritability, tachycardia, premature contractions, shortness of breath, hyperglycemia, and proteinuria. Excessive use may also cause severe arrhythmia and paroxysmal spasms. This is an early symptom of poisoning. At this time, the drug should be suspended, and a doctor should be consulted to monitor the blood drug concentration. However, it can still be used after the above signs and symptoms of poisoning have completely disappeared.
Precautions
Patients with acute myocardial infarction are contraindicated for use in patients who are allergic to doxofylline or xanthine derivatives.
Drug Interactions
1 Barbiturates have no significant effect on the metabolism of this product. 2 In animal experiments, macrolides (such as erythromycin) have no significant effect on the metabolism of this product. When used in combination with fluoroquinolones such as enoxacin and ciprofloxacin, the dosage should be reduced.
