Clomipramine Hydrochloride Injection

This product is a tricyclic antidepressant. Its main function is to block the reuptake of norepinephrine and 5-hydroxytryptamine in the central nervous system. It has a stronger blocking effect on the reuptake of 5-hydroxytryptamine, and exerts antidepressant and antianxiety effects. It also has sedative and anticholinergic effects.

The main ingredient of this product is clomipramine hydrochloride, and its chemical name is: N,N-dimethyl-10,11-dihydro-3-chloro-5H-dibenzo[b,f]azepine-5-propylamine hydrochloride.

This product is a colorless or almost colorless clear liquid.

Used to treat severe depression and refractory depression.

Start with intravenous drip of 25-50 mg diluted in 250-500 ml of glucose saline. Complete the drip in 1.5-3 hours, once a day, and slowly increase to 50-150 mg a day. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 200 mg.

Anticholinergic reactions may occur in the early stage of treatment, such as hyperhidrosis, dry mouth, blurred vision, dysuria, constipation, etc. Adverse reactions of the central nervous system may include drowsiness, tremor, and dizziness. Postural hypotension may occur. Occasionally, epileptic seizures, abnormal electrocardiograms, bone marrow suppression, or toxic liver damage may occur.

Patients with severe heart disease, recent history of myocardial infarction, epilepsy, glaucoma, urinary retention and allergy to tricyclic drugs.

Precautions for children: Not for use in children under 12 years old. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Not for use in the first 3 months of pregnancy and the third trimester of pregnancy, as this product may have adverse effects on the fetus, so use with caution in pregnant and lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: Use with caution.

1. When this product is used in combination with sultopride, the risk of ventricular arrhythmias may increase, and in severe cases, it may lead to torsades de pointes. 2. When this product is used in combination with ethanol or other central nervous system depressants, the central nervous system depressant effect is enhanced. 3. When this product is used in combination with adrenaline and norepinephrine, it is easy to cause paroxysmal hypertension and arrhythmias. 4. When this product is used in combination with clonidine, the latter's antihypertensive effect is weakened. 5. When this product is used in combination with anticonvulsants, the effect of anticonvulsants may be reduced. 6. When this product is used in combination with fluoxetine or fluvoxamine, the plasma concentrations of both may be increased, resulting in convulsions and increased adverse reactions. 7
