Tolvaptan Tablets

A vasopressin V2 receptor antagonist (non-peptide AVP2 receptor antagonist) that can increase the sodium ion concentration in plasma and help excess water be excreted from the urine. Enhance the kidney's ability to process water. Cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) accumulates in polycystic kidney cells, which promotes cyst growth by stimulating cyst fluid secretion and lining cell proliferation. Tolvaptan is a type 2 vasopressin receptor antagonist that inhibits cAMP generation and accumulation. In a variety of PKD animal model studies, tolvaptan has shown good efficacy.
