Function and Efficacy
It is a ribonucleotide reductase inhibitor. Its mechanism of action is to inhibit nucleoside diphosphate reductase, prevent nucleotides from being reduced to deoxynucleotides, thereby inhibiting the synthesis of deoxyribonucleic acid, without interfering with the synthesis of ribonucleic acid or protein. It is a cell cycle-specific drug, more sensitive to differentiated and proliferated cells, with lower toxicity, and faster oral absorption. The plasma concentration reaches the highest level after 2 hours and disappears after 6 hours.

This product is white tablets.
Indication
It has a positive effect on both intractable psoriasis and pustular psoriasis, and can reduce the pus scars, fever and poisoning symptoms of systemic pustular psoriasis. For short-term use, its toxicity is less than that of methotrexate. It seems that this product is suitable for patients with severe psoriasis who have liver damage and are not suitable for methotrexate or who are ineffective with methotrexate.
Usage and Dosage
Take orally 0.5g once, 1 to 1.5g per day.
Adverse Reactions
The main adverse reactions include testicular atrophy and teratogenic effects.
Precautions
It is contraindicated for use in patients with chickenpox, herpes zoster and various serious infections.
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: Not yet clear. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: This product has the potential to cause mutagenesis, teratogenesis and carcinogenesis, and is contraindicated for pregnant and lactating women. Precautions for the elderly: Elderly patients are sensitive to this product and may have poor renal function, so the dose should be appropriately reduced when taking this product.
Drug Interactions
It may reduce the conversion of 5-Fu into active metabolites (Fd-UMP), so the combination of the two should be used with caution; this product has an inhibitory effect on the central nervous system, so barbiturates, diazepams, anesthetics, etc. should be used with caution; this product may increase the concentration of uric acid in the patient's blood, so when used in combination with allopurinol, colchicine, probenecid, etc. to treat gout, the dosage of the above drugs must be adjusted. This product combined with allopurinol can prevent and reverse the hyperuricemia caused by it, and there is no cross-resistance with alkylating agents.
