Loquat cough capsules

Pharmacological action: (1) This product can significantly prolong the cough latency and reduce the number of coughs in mice induced by ammonia and guinea pigs induced by citric acid, indicating that this drug has a strong antitussive effect. (2) It can increase the excretion of phenol red in the respiratory tract of mice, indicating that this product has an expectorant effect. (3) It can inhibit the ear swelling of mice induced by xylene and the capillary exudation of the abdominal cavity of mice induced by acetic acid; and 2.0g/kg and 4.0g/kg can inhibit the foot swelling of rats induced by carrageenan, indicating that this product has anti-inflammatory and detumescent effects.

Loquat leaves, Stemona tuberosa, Radix Rhizoma Diaosigae, Morus alba bark, Platycodon grandiflorum, Poppy shell, Menthol.

This product is a capsule, the contents of which are gray-brown to yellow-brown powder; it has a slight fragrance and a cool, slightly bitter taste.

Oral administration: 2 capsules at a time, 3 times a day.
