Niacinamide Butanol Tablets
Function and Efficacy
Isoniazid is only effective against mycobacteria, mainly bacteria in the growth and reproduction stage. Its mechanism of action has not yet been elucidated. It may inhibit the synthesis of mycolic acid in sensitive bacteria and cause the cell wall to rupture. Ethambutol hydrochloride can penetrate into mycobacteria to interfere with the synthesis of RNA, thereby inhibiting bacterial reproduction. Ethambutol hydrochloride is a synthetic antibacterial anti-tuberculosis drug. Its mechanism of action has not yet been fully elucidated. This product can penetrate into mycobacteria to interfere with the synthesis of RNA, thereby inhibiting bacterial reproduction. This product is only effective against mycobacteria in the growth and reproduction stage. So far, no cross-resistance has been found between this product and other anti-tuberculosis drugs.

Adverse Reactions
1. The adverse reactions of isoniazid with a higher incidence rate include unsteady gait or numbness, tingling, burning sensation or pain in the hands and feet, dark urine, yellow eyes or skin, poor appetite, abnormal fatigue or weakness, nausea or vomiting. Reactions with a lower incidence rate include blurred vision or decreased vision, with or without eye pain; fever, rash, cytopenia and male breast development. Convulsions may occasionally occur due to neurotoxicity. 2. The adverse reactions of ethambutol hydrochloride with a higher incidence rate include blurred vision, eye pain, red-green color blindness or decreased vision, and narrowed visual field. Vision changes can be unilateral or bilateral, and should be tested separately during examination. The less common reactions include chills, swollen and painful joints, and a feeling of heat and tightness on the skin surface of the affected joints. The extremely rare reactions include fever, rash, joint pain and other allergic reactions; or numbness, tingling, burning sensation or weakness in the hands and feet.
Precautions
Avoid alcoholic beverages while taking this medicine.
Special Population Medication
Precautions for children: This product is not recommended for children under 13 years old. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Isoniazid can cross the placenta, resulting in a higher fetal blood concentration than the maternal blood concentration. Experiments on rats and rabbits have confirmed that isoniazid can cause fetal death. Ethambutol can cross the placenta, resulting in a fetal blood concentration of about 30% of the maternal blood concentration. The concentration of isoniazid in breast milk can reach 12 mg/L, which is similar to the blood concentration. The concentration of ethambutol in breast milk is similar to the blood concentration. Pregnant and lactating women should weigh the pros and cons before deciding whether to use the drug. If the drug is used, pregnancy and lactation should be stopped. Precautions for the elderly: The elderly are often accompanied by physiological renal impairment, so the dosage should be adjusted according to renal function.
Drug Interactions
1. Aluminum-containing antacids can delay and reduce the absorption of isoniazid after oral administration, thereby reducing the blood concentration of the drug. Therefore, avoid using the two at the same time, or take isoniazid at least 1 hour before taking oral antacids. 2. Combination with ethionamide or other anti-tuberculosis drugs can aggravate the adverse reactions of the latter two. Combination with other hepatotoxic drugs can increase the hepatotoxicity of this product, so it should be avoided as much as possible. 3. This product should not be used in combination with other neurotoxic drugs to avoid increasing neurotoxicity. 4. When used in combination with acetaminophen, isoniazid can induce hepatic cytochrome P-450, increasing the amount of toxic metabolites formed by the former, which can increase hepatotoxicity and nephrotoxicity. 5. When anticoagulants (such as coumarin or indandione derivatives) are used simultaneously with isoniazid, the anticoagulant effect is enhanced due to the inhibition of the enzyme metabolism of the anticoagulant drug. 6
