Function and Efficacy
Vitamin B1 combines with adenosine triphosphate to form vitamin B1 pyrophosphate (thiamine diphosphate, cocarboxylase), which is a coenzyme necessary for carbohydrate metabolism. Vitamin B1 can inhibit the activity of cholinesterase. When it is deficient, cholinesterase activity is enhanced, acetylcholine hydrolysis is accelerated, causing nerve impulse conduction disorders and affecting gastrointestinal and myocardial function.
Ingredients
Each tablet of this product contains the main ingredient vitamin B110 mg, and the auxiliary ingredients are starch, dextrin, sucrose, medicinal calcium sulfate, citric acid, sodium lauryl sulfate, and magnesium stearate.

Appearance
This product is white tablets.
Indication
1. Suitable for the prevention and treatment of vitamin B1 deficiency, such as beriberi or Wernicke encephalopathy caused by vitamin B1 deficiency. It is also used as an auxiliary treatment for peripheral neuritis, indigestion, etc. 2. Vitamin B1 supplementation for malnutrition caused by total parenteral nutrition or insufficient intake. 3. The requirement for vitamin B1 increases in the following situations: pregnancy or lactation, hyperthyroidism, burns, hemodialysis, long-term chronic infection, fever, heavy physical labor, malabsorption syndrome with hepatobiliary system diseases (liver damage, alcoholism with cirrhosis), small intestinal diseases (celiac disease, tropical sprue, regional enteritis, persistent diarrhea, ileal resection) and after gastrectomy. 4. Large amounts of vitamin B1 can improve symptoms of the following hereditary enzyme deficiency diseases: subacute necrotizing encephalomyelopathy (Leigh disease), branched-chain amino acid disease, lactic acidosis and intermittent cerebellar ataxia.
Usage and Dosage
Oral: 1. Adults: (1) Preventive dosage: The recommended daily dietary intake of vitamin B1 is 1.2-1.5 mg for male youth and adults, 1-1.1 mg for female youth and adults, 1.5 mg for pregnant women, and 1.6 mg for nursing mothers. The above requirements can be met through a normal diet. (2) Therapeutic dosage: ① For adult beriberi (mild or severe maintenance dose), 5-10 mg once, 3 times a day; for vitamin B1 deficiency, 5-10 mg once, 3 times a day, until symptoms improve; ② Neuritis caused by vitamin B1 deficiency during pregnancy: 5-10 mg per day. ③ Vitamin B1 deficiency caused by alcoholism: 40 mg per day. 2. Children: (1) Preventive dosage: The recommended daily dietary intake of vitamin B1 is 0.3-0.7 mg for infants from birth to 3 years old, 0.9 mg for children from 4 to 6 years old, and 1 mg for children from 7 to 10 years old. The above requirements can be met through a normal diet. (2) Therapeutic dosage: ① Infantile beriberi (mild): 10 mg per day. ② Vitamin B1 deficiency: 10-50 mg per day, taken in divided doses.

Vitamin B1 is almost non-toxic to people with normal renal function.

Drug Interactions
