Function and Efficacy

This product is a selective histamine H1 receptor antagonist. Animal experiments show that this product has no obvious anticholinergic and anti-5-hydroxytryptamine effects, and is not easy to pass through the blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier to act on the central H1 receptor. When used clinically, the central inhibitory effect is relatively mild.

Appearance

This product is a film-coated tablet, which appears white or off-white after removing the film coating.

Indication

Used for seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis, urticaria and skin itching caused by allergens.

Usage and Dosage

Oral. Adults or children over 12 years old, 10 mg each time, once a day. Or follow the doctor's advice. If adverse reactions occur, it can be changed to 5 mg in the morning and evening. For children aged 6 to 11, the recommended starting dose is 5 mg or 10 mg once a day, depending on the severity of the symptoms. For children aged 2 to 5 years, the recommended starting dose is 2.5 mg once a day, and the maximum dose can be increased to 5 mg once a day, or 2.5 mg every 12 hours.

Adverse Reactions

Adverse reactions are mild and transient, including drowsiness, sleepiness, headache, dizziness, agitation, dry mouth, and gastrointestinal discomfort. Occasionally, aspartate aminotransferase is slightly elevated.

It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to this product.

Precautions for children: For dosages for children aged 2-12 years, see [Usage and Dosage]. Precautions for pregnancy and lactation: Pregnant and lactating women are prohibited. Precautions for the elderly: No such test has been conducted and there are no reliable references.

Drug Interactions

No interactions with other drugs have been reported, but caution should be exercised when taking sedatives at the same time.
