The formula of inositol is C6H12O6,  CAS NO.87-89-8.
Inositol is one of the vitamin B-- a water soluble vitamin,it is also called vitamin B group. Inositol and choline are also known as six alcohol, it is white crystalline powder. How Myo-Inositol is Derived

Myo-inositol is an ingredient derived from corn and is directly extracted from the component called Phytin. Approximately 2,000 metric tons of corn produces 1 ton of inositol. The end product is typically a white crystalline inositol powder.
