Main types:
There are many types for different applications, it's up to the following requests to define the type and grade:
1. Which industry: normally each industry has it's own type CMC.
2. Raw material: CMC can be made from cotten, wasted cotten, wood, straw and even soybean curb residue.
3. Purity: From 55% to 99.5%.
4. Degree of substitution (D.S.): also called etherification degree, normal range is 0.4 to 1.2, higher D.S. Means higher solubility in water. For D.S.: 0.2~0.3, it is only soluble in alkali solution.
5. Viscosity: from 5~2500 m.Pas for 1% solution, some industries needs the data of 2% solution.
