Performance:
The amount of melanin determines different skin tones. As people age, sunspots will gradually appear on their skin when exposed to the sun. The main reason for this is excessive melanin production. The first step of melanin formation is the binding of melanocyte-stimulating hormone α-MSH to the MC1 receptor on melanocytes, and then tyrosinase is activated to further form melanin. By competing to bind and impede the MC1 receptor, we can inhibit the formation channels of melanin within cells and reduce the synthesis of melanin.
2) Nonaptide-1 is an releasing peptide. It has a very good match with the MC1 receptor and can act as an antagonist of melanocyte-stimulating hormone, competitively binding to the MC1 receptor. Therefore, it can prevent the further activation of tyrosinase and the resulting melanin production;
3) Clinical trials have proved that noneptide-1 can effectively brighten the skin tone and fade pigmentation.
