    Description

Strong Base Anion (SBA) Ion Exchange Resin, Type I, Gel, Chloride Form is a polystyrene–divinylbenzene copolymer with quaternary ammonium (–N⁺(CH₃)₃) functional groups. The gel-type structure provides high exchange capacity and fast kinetics for the removal of both strong and weak acid anions, including sulfate, nitrate, chloride, and organics. Supplied in the chloride form, this resin is widely used in demineralization, deionization, and water purification applications. Compared to Type II SBA resins, Type I resins have higher chemical stability and better removal of silica and CO₂, making them the preferred choice for high-purity water treatment.

    Applications

    • Industrial and municipal water deionization

    • High-purity water systems for power plants, electronics, and semiconductors

    • Condensate polishing in power generation

    • Boiler feed water treatment requiring low silica leakage

    • Mixed-bed deionization systems with SAC resins

    • Chemical processing and wastewater treatment requiring anion removal

    • Food and beverage water purification

    • Ultrapure water for pharmaceutical and laboratory use

    Key Features

    • Gel-type structure with high operating capacity

    • Type I quaternary ammonium functionality for superior silica and CO₂ removal

    • High chemical and thermal stability

    • Excellent bead strength and resistance to osmotic shock

    • Suitable for both industrial and ultrapure water treatment applications
