Ambroxol Hydrochloride is the active metabolite of bromhexine. It appears as a white to off-white crystalline powder, odorless or almost odorless, with a slightly bitter taste. As a clinically common mucolytic expectorant, it also functions in promoting the secretion of pulmonary surfactant, anti-oxidation and anti-inflammation.
