This acetylated peptide features a specific amino acid sequence with acetylated serine-aspartate-alanine-alanine-valine structures. Primarily used for immunomodulation, its main indications include chronic hepatitis B (for patients aged 18+ with compensated liver disease and active HBV replication [HBV-DNA positive]), where it helps reduce viral load and even eliminate hepatitis B surface antigen. When combined with interferon, it may enhance therapeutic efficacy. Immunization enhancers: used in patients with compromised immune function (e.g. elderly patients undergoing hemodialysis) to enhance the immune response to vaccines (e.g. influenza or hepatitis B vaccines). Thymosin α1 exerts pharmacological effects by promoting T cell maturation, increasing lymphokine secretion (e.g., interferon, interleukins), and activating T4 helper cells, thereby enhancing the overall immune response. Dosage and administration must strictly follow the instructions. Storage precautions: raw materials should be stored at-20°C, while the prepared formulation requires refrigeration at 2-8°C. The preparation should be used immediately after preparation.
