The preparation of calcium iodide can be achieved through the following methods:
Heating dehydration method: Calcium iodide hexahydrate is heated in a dry nitrogen stream for dehydration. After rapid cooling and grinding, anhydrous calcium iodide is obtained.
Iodoferric method: Iodine reacts with iron powder to form iodoferric, which then reacts with calcium hydroxide to produce iodocalcium. After filtration, concentration, decolorization, evaporation and crystallization, the finished product is obtained.
