Sodium Ferrocyanide Decahydrate (Abbr: Sodium Yellow Prussiate, CAS: 7758-11-4, EINECS: 237-395-1, HS Code: 2837200000), molecular formula Na₄[Fe(CN)₆]·10H₂O, molecular weight 484.11. It is pale yellow crystalline granular solid, stable under normal temperature, soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol. Its core function is anti-caking for edible salt; it also serves as raw material for blue pigments, electroplating additives and metal surface treatment agents.

Applications
Edible Salt Industry (Core Application)
Approved food anti-caking additive (E535) for refined table salt, iodized salt and sea salt. It forms a thin protective film on salt crystal surface to prevent salt particles from agglomerating under high humidity, keeps salt loose and free-flowing, with low effective dosage and stable anti-caking effect, the mainstream anti-caking agent for global salt processing plants.
Pigment & Ink Manufacturing
Key raw material for producing iron blue (Prussian blue) inorganic pigment, widely used in printing inks, paint coatings, paper coloring and plastic colorants. The pigment made from it has bright color, excellent light fastness and acid resistance.
Electroplating & Metal Surface Treatment
Auxiliary complexing agent for alkaline electroplating copper, cadmium and silver plating baths, which stabilizes metal ion concentration in plating solution, improves coating uniformity and brightness, reduces plating defects. Also used as metal surface polishing and passivation auxiliary agent.
Chemical & Metallurgical Industry
Used as flotation agent for non-ferrous metal ore separation, precipitant for removing heavy metal ions in wastewater, and raw material for manufacturing other cyanide coordination salts. It can separate copper, lead and zinc metal ions in hydrometallurgy.
Construction & Cement Industry
Small amount added as cement anti-caking agent and early strength regulator to improve cement powder fluidity, prevent cement blockage during storage and transportation, and adjust setting time of concrete mortar.
Photographic & Analytical Chemistry
Analytical reagent for detecting copper, zinc and iron ions in laboratory; also used as developing auxiliary agent for traditional photographic paper and film to adjust image tone and contrast.

Packaging & Storage
Standard packaging: 25kg kraft paper bags with double PE inner liner; 500kg/1000kg FIBC bulk bags for large orders. Store in cool, dry, ventilated warehouse, tightly sealed to avoid moisture absorption. Keep separate from strong acids, oxidants, edible raw materials and food. Avoid high temperature heating (decomposes to release toxic cyanide gas under strong acid/high heat). Shelf life: 24 months under proper sealed storage.
Safety Information
Classified as non-dangerous goods for regular transportation under normal conditions. Do not mix with strong acid, heating together will generate toxic hydrogen cyanide gas. Dust irritates respiratory tract and eyes; wear dust mask, rubber gloves and goggles during operation. In case of skin contact, rinse with plenty of clean water; if accidentally ingested, seek medical treatment immediately.
