                                              Synthetic Process

                                              Pyrimidin-4-ylboronic acid is synthesized through the following routes:

                                              • Lithiation-borylation: 4-Bromopyrimidine or 4-chloropyrimidine is treated with a base to form the corresponding organolithium species, which is then reacted with a borate ester (such as trimethyl borate) followed by hydrolysis to yield the boronic acid.

                                              • Palladium-catalyzed borylation: 4-Bromopyrimidine undergoes palladium-catalyzed borylation using bis(pinacolato)diboron, followed by deprotection.

                                              • Purification: The crude product is purified by recrystallization or column chromatography.
