                                              9-Decen-1-ol is synthesized through the following routes:

                                              • Reduction of 9-decenoic acid: 9-Decenoic acid is reduced using a suitable reducing agent (such as lithium aluminum hydride) to yield the primary alcohol.

                                              • Hydroboration-oxidation of 1,9-decadiene: Selective hydroboration followed by oxidation can yield 9-decen-1-ol.

                                              • Purification: The crude product is purified by distillation under reduced pressure.
