Amiprophos-methyl Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Prepare 25.5 g of o-nitro-p-cresol and 27.5 g of O-methyl thiophosphoryl dichloride to completely dissolve, add 30 mL of acetone, and dropwise add 7.2 g of sodium hydroxide to a 25% lye at 20-30°C. After the addition, continue to stir for 1h. The reaction liquid changed from orange to orange, 120mL of benzene was added dropwise, 28.3mL of isopropylamine was added dropwise, after dripping, continue to stir for 1h, separate the organic layer, wash with water to neutrality, evaporate the solvent to obtain a light yellow product 38.0g, yield 70%, mp63~64℃.

Uses

Organophosphorus herbicide. It can control a variety of annual weeds in paddy fields and drylands, such as barnyard grass, amaranth, quinoa, cricket grass, maimailiang, cattle felt, ragloss, arthropod, etc. It is suitable for rice, tomato, lettuce, cabbage, peanut, Sugarcane, onion, carrot, cucumber and other crops. The amount of application is 1.25~5.0kg/hm2.
