3-Chlorobenzenediazonium Use and Manufacturing

Methods of Manufacturing

Take m-nitrochlorobenzene as raw material and iron powder as reducing agent to obtain m-chloroaniline, which is refined by distillation, salted, filtered and dried to obtain finished products. . Reduction: pre-add 850L of water, 700kg of iron filings, and 70kg of FeSO4 in the reduction pot, stir and heat up to 95℃, start to slowly add 600kg of m-nitrochlorobenzene, drip in about 55h, and then heat up to 100-102℃ for 2h . Cool to 70-75°C and neutralize with sodium carbonate to pH=7-7.5. The reactants are pumped to a distillation pot for steam distillation until no oily substance is evaporated. The distillate is allowed to stand, separate into layers, and remove the water layer. Put the oil layer in the distillation kettle for vacuum distillation (about 86.6kPa vacuum), first dehydration, and then collect the refined products at 180-190°C. Salt formation: Add 2000L of 8% hydrochloric acid to the salt formation pot, raise the temperature to 70°C, add 600kg of m-chloroaniline, stir for 2h after adding, and then add 500kg of 40% hydrochloric acid to make the finished product salt out and precipitate. Cool to 15-20°C, filter, dry at 70-75°C, and grind to obtain a finished product. Each ton of orange-based GC consumes 0.865t of m-chloroaniline.

Uses

Used as a coloring agent for cotton fiber dyeing and printing, and as an intermediate for dyes and medicine
