2-(BENZYLOXY)-1-ETHANAMINE HYDROCHLORIDE Use and Manufacturing

To a solution of the product of Step 2 (4 g, 15.93 mmol) in diethyl ether (10 mL) was added 4N HC1 in ether (20 mL). The resulted mixture was stirred at room temperature for overnight. The reaction mixture was then filtered and washed withhexane, dried under vacuum to provide the product (2 g, 83percent yield) as an off-white solid.‘H-NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6): ö 3.01 (t, J 5.20 Hz, 2H), 3.63 (t, J 5.60 Hz, 2H), 4.54 (s, 2H), 7.35-7.36 (m, 5H), 8.01 (bs, 3H).
