Description
white crystalline solid Saccharin is a crystalline solid with a sweet taste (500 times sweeter than sugar). Saccharin occurs as odorless white crystals or a white crystalline powder. It has an intensely sweet taste, with a metallic or bitter aftertaste that at normal levels of use can be detected by approximately 25% of the population. The aftertaste can be masked by blending saccharin with other sweeteners.

Saccharin Use and Manufacturing
See "02326, Sodium Saccharin" and the aforementioned "023.3.1".
Usually used in high performance liquid chromatographic method for the simultaneous separation and determination of acesulfame potassium, saccharine and aspartame;and also used in sweet preference test of rats.
Drug Function and Efficacy
This product is involved in the formation of bones and the reconstruction of bone tissue after fracture, as well as muscle contraction, nerve transmission, coagulation mechanism and reducing the permeability of capillaries.
